Newton's Nook Designs - Newton's Book Club

Hi all, I'm up on the blog today over at Newton's Nook Designs with a card I made using Newton's Book Club stamp/die set!

I started with an A2 sized card base and chose red as my frame color.  I used the new Hardwood Stencil to create my background. With a light kraft color cardstock and tea dye distress ink!

I cut the window out using the dies that coordinate with this set, I love the stitched line that it left on my hardwood panel. I colored up Newton curled up amongst the books, then glued the image behind the woodgrain.

I die cut the sentiment and layered the white under blue. The little heart I copic colored and then added a little button and twine on the end of the banner that comes in the Frames and Flags Die Set.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you'll head over to the shop and check out Newton's Book Club and more goodies!

Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Flower Puppy

Hi all, I'm back today with a digi image card to show you.  I recently printed out a bunch of digi images to have on hand when I feel like doing some quick coloring. So last night, I shut the tv off and sat and colored for a little bit. So much more relaxing than the news, wouldn't you agree?

I just love this little guy from Bugaboo Stamps and I plan to enter this card in their Anything Goes challenge going on, which I'll link below along with a link to purchase this image!

There's a very kindhearted crafter in one of my FB groups that I plan to send to on her birthday. I think this will bring her a little happiness on her special day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Day 4

Hi all and welcome to day 4 of the April release at Newton's Nook Designs.  You know what that means, one more sleep before all these GREAT new products are in the shop!

So today, we're featuring 1 new Newton set called "Newton's Birdhouse". I absolutely love little Newton curled around the base of this birdhouse, it was a pleasure to color up and I added the new Fence die and a Speech Bubble die. A little grass from the Land Borders die set and I think this makes the perfect scene!

We've also got a small individual Mother's and Father's Day stamp set to show you. These are both simple and were so easy to create the perfect Mothers and Fathers Day cards!

On my FD card, I added the fish from Narly Mermaids and the Waves Stencil to accent the fishing themed sentiment!

On my MD card, I used the new Hardwood Floor stencil and added some Flower Trio die cuts as well as the scallop from the Sky borders die set!

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Day 3

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs April release!  Today we are featuring a new stamp/die combo that is dear to my heart, called Moo!  Omgoodness I am in LOVE!  For my first card, I started with a A2 sized card base, created a night sky by blending Blueprint and Black Soot distress ink and adding a tiny bit of white paint splatter for the stars.  I cut some hills out using Land Borders die set and added a little yellow distress ink for the moonlight.

I copic colored all my images to create my scene..and added a little hen from the Cluck stamp/die set featured yesterday! The moon was stamped with this great sentiment and cut out using a circle die from the Frames Squared die set.

For my second card using the Moo stamp/die set, I also added in a piggy from the Oink stamp/die set featured on Day 1. I've also added in the brand new Fence Die Set, don't you love that?  And I stamped the sentiments on the new Speech Bubble Die Set! And check out my background using the new Hardwood Floor Stencil that I stenciled to look like the side of a barn! I also cut the grass using the Land Borders die set.

Thanks so much for visiting, make sure to comment on all the DT's blogs for your chance to WIN this stamp set!

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs April Release! Today we're featuring a new stamp/die combo named "Cluck". Check out the images in this sweet set, I just love these chickens!  And Rooster! My first card today, I created a birthday scene card. On an A2 sized card base, I stenciled white clouds on a light blue piece of card stock using the Cloudy Sky Stencil. Then I cut and distress inked the hills and grass from the Land Borders Die Set.

I Copic colored my Rooster, Chickens and Eggs, I also die cut the new Fence Die Set and stamped my top sentiment on the new Speech Bubble Die Set and the "It's your Birthday" was white heat embossed and added below to look like the Rooster is crowing it out while perched on top of the fence!

For my second card, I used nothing but the new Cluck Stamp/die combo. I created my background using the tiny chicken egg stamp and then die cut and Copic colored the chickens in the same 5 rainbow color combinations as the eggs. I just thought that sentiment was too cute and had to make a card featuring it!

Thanks so much for stopping, make sure to comment on all the DT blogs listed below for your chance to WIN!

Using the dies from Frames Squared Die Set I created my layers on a 5x5 square card. I added a grassy hill using the Land Borders Die Set. I cut out the balloons and party hat from the Fabulous Frenchies stamp/die set. The tiny double layered heart on the banner came from the new Speech Bubble Die Set, shown below.  Lastly, I added the banner from Frames and Flags Die set and white heat embossed the sentiment on it.

As you can see below there are some additional products being previewed today. I'll be featuring all of these on cards later on this week so stay tuned!

Newton's Nook Designs Woodland Spring

Hi everyone, I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog today, so I'm sharing here too, this pretty little spring card using one of my favorite NND stamp and die combos, Woodland Spring! If you've not seen this set, scroll down for the photo and link to purchase.  These woodsy critters, wearing crowns of flowers are just beautiful!

I started with an A2 sized card base, layering it with spring green cardstock. I used the scalloped rectangle from the Frames and Flags die set to cut out a light pink border. I had a piece of this patterned kraft cardstock in my stash, so I layered that.

From the Frames Squared Die Set, I cut the smaller rounded square and used that as my scene base and added a bit of Twisted Citron Distress ink that would help accentuate my fox. I stamped the image on a small round die cut that I layered on top of the stitched circle (also from the Frames Squared Die Set). I popped my copic colored fox up with some foam tape, then added a bit of greenery and flowers from the Flower Trio Die Set.

I really enjoyed creating this spring card, I hope you like it..please leave me a comment if you have time, I always love to hear what you think too!
