Newton's Nook Designs January Release - Day 4

Hi everyone and welcome to day 4, the final day of January releases.  Tomorrow all these new products we've featured this week, will be in the Newton's Nook Designs Shop!

For my first card I colored up two of the little typewriters, don't you just love them?  And I mounted them on a scalloped circle die cut, which is on the scalloped die from Frames and Flags that I stenciled using the Tumbling Heart Stencil. I mounted all on a tiny black/white polka dot patterned paper and a little checked bow.

My second card was really simple.  I used the layered heart die from the new Candy Heart stamp/die set. I stamped each heart with a sentiment from the set and mounted them on a white panel on top of the postage die from Frameworks Die set. I tied a little twine and my Valentine's Day card is ready to be mailed!

Newton's Nook Designs January Release - Day 3

Hi everyone and welcome to day 3 of the January release here at Newton's Nook Designs!  Today we're featuring this new stamp/die set, Love Owl-Ways. The little owls in this set are just precious and so fun to color! For my first card I copic colored this little guy holding the balloon and I perched him on top of a feather I cut from this set, Points and Plumes Die Set which is currently on clearance, so make sure you get yours in the cart before they're gone!

For my second card, I colored up the owl that's swooping in with a love letter for Newton. Remember this set? Newton's Happy Mail. I thought it was a neat idea to combine these stamp sets. I used the scallop die from Frames and Flags and I embossed the ivory background using the woodgrain embossing folder from Taylored Expressions.

Make sure you keep scrolling for your chance to win this stamp set!

Newton's Nook Designs January Release - Day 2

Hi all, today is day 2 of the NND release and I'm super excited to share this card I've made using the new Caffeinated Cats stamp set.  This full cardfront stamp coordinates with the largest die in the Frames and Flags Die Set or the Framework Die Set.

I love how Jen drew all these cute little Newton's playing around in the mugs and cups! I Copic colored the entire image and added some white highlights using my white gel pen.  Then I cut my panel slightly smaller than the stitched line on my scalloped frame and glued all down to my kraft card base.

I hope you've enjoyed my project, be sure to keep scrolling for your chance to win this stamp!!!

Winter Woofs

Hi all, I’m here today with a quick card using Winter Woofs stamp and coordinating die set! Over the holiday vacation I spent a few days with my cousin Linda and she’s got a pretty Husky named Riley that looks like this guy I colored.  I cut a snow hill using the Land Borders die set. I arranged my scene over the stenciled sky using the Snowfall Stencil. Lastly I did a little inking on my sky and arranged the card!

Thanks for joining me today!

Newton's Christmas Cuddles

Hi all, today I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog with a card I created for mailing.  I love having a extra store of flat cards that I can pop in the mail.  I needed extra this year, so this one is already on it's way to a friend!

I just had a desire to work with blues and greys.  I had a piece of this lovely grey with trees paper, so I layered that over some navy cardstock.  I cut an extra piece from the navy using the scalloped die from the Frameworks Die Set. I cut a white rectangle that fit inside the stitched border and distress inked it with an ombre look.  Then I stamped, diecut and copic colored the images from Newton's Christmas Cuddles.

I hope you've enjoyed my card today, and I also hope you've enjoyed working on your own Christmas cards to send out some extra cheer to friends and family!

Hello Bluebird Quiet Christmas

Hello everyone! Wow we are getting really close to Christmas aren't we?!  I've got packages left to wrap, but this year I'm feeling fairly organized!

So today I'm sharing a card that I made using Hello Bluebird products over on the Butterfly Reflections Ink. Blog.  I've got the products listed below with links for your convenience.  This is a brand that I adore, I just love the whimsical images!  Winter scene cards with critters, snow and trees are my absolute favorites!

I've combined the stamps/dies from Quiet Christmas along with the Joyful die from Christmas Words #2.  I inked the background in distress inks and did a little white acrylic paint splatter to show some gently falling snow.

I had one little die cut snowflake sitting on my desk from the Frosty Flakes set, so I added it for a little extra. So thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you'll leave a comment and then head over for a little Christmas shopping for yourselves!
