For my second card, I was able to play around with this ADORABLE new stamp/die set, Holiday Village. I also created the hills using the new pierced Trimmings Borders dies. I love how the piercing is on both sides of this die, and I was able to cut 2 different pierced hills at once that fit together perfectly!  Lastly I embellished with the Iridescent Ice Flakes Crystals in the sky. Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 4

Hi everyone and welcome to day 4, our final day of reveals at Newton's Nook Designs! Today I'm showing off a brand new sentiment stamp set, Thankful Thoughts. You can see an image of the set below.  In my first card, I've used one of the sentiments from this set.  Plus the raccoon image from Harvest Tails that we revealed yesterday.  I've also created my background using the other brand new stencil, Pumpkin Patch by distress inking over the stencil and adding a little paint splatter over the top. I tied some twine and foam popped my image over it.

On this release day, we're also showing you the brand new 2x3 sets, Slothy Coffee and Tea Rex. I chose to make a card using Slothy Coffee and used the Sunscape Stencil for the background and the postage die from the Framework Die set as the base. I love this sentiment and yes, I feel kind of Slothy every morning and really need my coffee!

Thanks for stopping and be sure to comment to WIN!!!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 3

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 3 of the September release at Newton's Nook Designs!  Today I've got an amazingly adorable critter stamp/die set to show you, Harvest Tails!  I absolutely fell in love with this sweet little deer pulling a wagon full of pumpkins.  And oh, I need to just tell you that I jumped for joy when I saw this AMAZING Tree Ring Stencil!!

I took a piece of kraft cardstock cut slightly smaller than my A2 sized card.  I distress inked the inner part of the ring in Tea Die Ranger Distress Ink and then did the outer ring in Walnut Stain. I copic colored my little deer and pumpkins, (and leaves from the Newton's Cornucopia stamp set revealed on Day 1), then assembled my scene over the tree ring.  I did a little white splatter over the ring.  I guess it sort of looks like snow, which is very common around Thanksgiving in some climates!  I added a double banner at the bottom, from the Flags and Frames die set!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to comment on all the DT's blogs for your chance to WIN this stamp set!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 2

Hi everyone, welcome to Day 2 of the NND September reveals! Sooo, what do you think of this super amazing image, Newton's Pumpkin Patch, that coordinates with both the Flags and Frames and Framework die set?  I've used the Flags and Frames for both the scalloped background and the banner for the sentiment!

I started by stamping out the image using VersaFine Onxy Black ink on Smooth Bristol watercolor cardstock.  I used my Tombow Dual Brush Markers to color all the kitties and the pumpkins.  Once dry I added some white highlights with my Gelly Roll white pen.  I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a black banner and then assembled all on an olive green cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping, enjoy hopping along with the team and comment for your chance to WIN!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 1

Hello Newton's Nook fans and welcome to Day 1 of the September release.  This is always such an exciting time of the month for me, and especially now with Fall in the air!  Actually, fall is not in the air where I live, it's still super hot and muggy.  So to get in the right frame of mind, I lit a pumpkin scented candle and turned up the AC a little bit, lol.  I really did that!  So, onto the new reveals we're showing you today!

This first card was made with the stamp and die combo, Newton's Cornucopia.  Isn't this awesome?!?!  I'm seriously blown away by all the details Jen draws into her images. I'm pretty sure I had too much fun coloring all the tiny fruits and veg in that basket!  For the background, I just cut a frame using some circle dies and then distress inked the inner circle with weathered wood.  Samantha Mann told me it looks like a mirror, LOL, I think she's right!  I didn't really intend for that, but I thought it looked great behind Newton and his bounty!

For these next 2 cards, I used this super awesome stamp and die set, Newton's Thanksgiving! Can you get over that chubby Newton?  Gobble 'til you wobble!  Such a perfect sentiment after a big turkey dinner! These sweet images were so much fun to color, I ended up creating 2 scenes, the second one focusing on the dessert!  Make sure to save room for pie!  On both cards I also used dies from the Flags and Frames AND Framework die sets.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Keep on scrolling and make sure to comment on all the blogs for your chance to win one of these great new stamp sets!

But wait!  We've got some new stencils to show you in this release!  I didn't use them on today's cards, but you can see a peek of them in the photos above!  Stay tuned, I'm using them on upcoming cards this week and they are AMAZING!!!

Would you like to win the “Newton’s Thanksgiving” or the “Newton’s Cornucopia” Stamp Set?

Newton's Nook Designs - Newton's Boo-Tiful Night

Hi Newton's Nook Designs fans, welcome to my blog!  Today I'm showing off a card featuring the stamp set, Newton's Boo-Tiful Night.  I was super excited to work with this set because NND recently added coordinating dies. I'll link all the products below for you to see.

So I started out by diecutting a circle and distress inking the moon in using both a light and dark yellow ink.  Then I placed the die cut circle over the moon and sponged on a light grey. Over that, I sponged a little darker grey on the Cloudy Sky Stencil Then I distress inked all the edges using Black Soot distress ink. I added a heavy splatter of water/white acrylic ink to create the stars.

I cut the hill using the Land Borders die set, then inked it with Tea Dye and Fossilized Amber distress ink. I hoped it would make the top of the earth show the moon glow.  I copic colored the NND images, die cut them and popped them up using foam tape. I glued a few bats over the moon and stamped my sentiment on the hill.

I hope you like my project and thanks for stopping!

I entered this card in the following challenges!
