Newton's Nook Designs 6 Year Celebration Blog Hop

Hello everyone! We're celebrating Newton's Nook Designs 6th Anniversary and the team is getting together today to show off a few extra projects using the wonderful July release products which are now available in store!

Today I'm sharing 2 cards using both new 2 piece stencils, Pineapple and Hibiscus because I just couldn't get enough of either of them! What do you think of the gold and blue pineapples? I think they really look fun and summery with Newton from Newton's Perfect Wave riding his surfboard! I used the shaped die from Frames Squared on both cards under my images.

Newton's Nook Designs July Release 6 Year Celebration - Day 3

Hi Newton's Nook fans, I'm so glad you're here with us celebrating! Keep scrolling to see 2 new amazing stamp sets we're revealing today!

So today, Day 3 of the July reveals and Newton's Nook Designs 6th birthday celebration, we're featuring 2 new stamp sets that coordinate so perfectly with the dies from the Frames Squared Die Set!

My first card used the Zoo Party stamp, omgoodness aren't those jungle critters the CUTEST!? I heat embossed the sentiment on a banner from the Frames and Flags die set, and the rest of the dies are from the Frames Squared set.

My second card uses the new Tropical Fringe stamp set. I love all the greenery, hibiscus and pineapples together! I used the Tropical Leaves stencil on this card as well as the Frames Squared Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Day 1

Hello Newton's Nook fans and welcome to day 1 of the April release! We've got a lot in store for you this week, so hop along with us all week and make sure to comment for your chance to win! Keep scrolling for the details!

So today we're introducing a new stamp set with coordinating dies called, "Oink". Check out this fun collection of the cutest little piggies! I Copic colored up this little one so quick and easy and created a super sweet birthday card!

Using the dies from Frames Squared Die Set I created my layers on a 5x5 square card. I added a grassy hill using the Land Borders Die Set. I cut out the balloons and party hat from the Fabulous Frenchies stamp/die set. The tiny double layered heart on the banner came from the new Speech Bubble Die Set, shown below. Lastly, I added the banner from Frames and Flags Die set and white heat embossed the sentiment on it.

As you can see below there are some additional products being previewed today. I'll be featuring all of these on cards later on this week so stay tuned!

Newton's Nook Designs Woodland Spring

Hi everyone, I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog today, so I'm sharing here too, this pretty little spring card using one of my favorite NND stamp and die combos, Woodland Spring! If you've not seen this set, scroll down for the photo and link to purchase. These woodsy critters, wearing crowns of flowers are just beautiful!

I started with an A2 sized card base, layering it with spring green cardstock. I used the scalloped rectangle from the Frames and Flags die set to cut out a light pink border. I had a piece of this patterned kraft cardstock in my stash, so I layered that.

From the Frames Squared Die Set, I cut the smaller rounded square and used that as my scene base and added a bit of Twisted Citron Distress ink that would help accentuate my fox. I stamped the image on a small round die cut that I layered on top of the stitched circle (also from the Frames Squared Die Set). I popped my copic colored fox up with some foam tape, then added a bit of greenery and flowers from the Flower Trio Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Day 4

Hi all, welcome to day 4 which is the final day of the March release at Newton's Nook Designs! Today we're featuring this super adorable stamp/die combo called "Garden Mice". I love the way Jen draws her mice, they are sooooo adorable!

I have been wanting to try some CAS cards lately and these images are so perfect to really stand out on their own. I looked at the pretty shaped die in the Frames Squared set, and decided to make a stencil by cutting it out on a separate piece of cardstock.

I inked up the cutout shape in pink, green and blue, then foam popped up these sweet little Copic colored mice and added a sentiment down below. They make PERFECT note cards and I've already mailed two of them. I guess I'll be making more to have on hand whenever I need a cute little card to pop in the mail to someone!

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Day 3

Hi all and welcome to day 3 of the March release at Newton's Nook Designs! Today we're featuring another stamp set that coordinates with the new Frames Squared Die Set. It's Newton's Block Party! Isn't this cool with birthday kitties all the way around?

So on this card, I started with a 5x5 card base, then cut my patterned X and O paper slightly smaller. I used the square scallop die and cut out some metallic gold. I stamped out my image, the cut it right on the line all the way around using my paper trimmer. I added a slightly larger piece of black cardstock to layer on top of the gold. I added a Happy Birthday sentiment right to the center.

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs March release! And today we're sharing a new type of stamp that coordinates with the also new "Frames Squared Die Set" as you see pictured right below. I love making square cards and as you can see in this set, there are lots of nice coordinating shapes and sizes!

For my card today, I used a 5x5 card base, and then cut the largest two sizes out, the rounded square with my green pattern paper, then I cut my stamped image out using the scalloped square.

I copic colored all the pretty flowers and added a sentiment to the center and a few sequins around. I love this color combination of the greens and pinks. It reminds me of spring and my grandma, these were her colors!
