Paper Sweeties Truck and Camper card set

Hi all!  Happy Hump Day!  It's blistering hot here in South Carolina this week.  So when I'm not working, I'm hiding in my craft room coloring.  I decided to play a little more with my new Paper Sweeties stamp sets that I ordered a few weeks ago.

I had planned on creating one card using the truck and camper. But, after coloring all these sweet images, I decided to go with A2 sized cards and break the images up into 2 cards.  I have to say I'm so pleased how both cards turned out!

The patterned paper by Authentique which I'll link below matches these stamped images so perfectly.  Thanks so much for stopping by and stay cool!

Basket Add-Ons Thinking of You by Paper Sweeties

Hi all, today I'm sharing a card that I made just for myself.  I needed a little crafty time this morning and I couldn't wait to use some new-to-me products by a company called Paper Sweeties. Have you heard of them?

I was recently inspired by a project made by Larissa Heskett, one of my teamies on the Newton's Nook Designs Team!  She also happens to design for Paper Sweeties and when I saw this card she made, I instantly went shopping!  So I'll share her card with you here (below), along with a link to her blog, and you can see where I got my inspiration!

So I went with the same type of black cup using PS Sweet Cuts Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Die.  Larissa used her roses from Basket Add-Ons Thinking of You as a base for the cup, which I LOVED, but I ended up filling my cup with them and liked that look as well!

I also added my little Hello sign and a heart that came in the Sweet Cuts Truck Add on Life is an Adventure Die Set

I used a stencil from Taylored Expressions called Blooming Beautiful  adding some ink to my background using Tea Dye Distress Ink over Kraft cardstock.

So as you can see, it's not a duplicated project, but I wanted to give credit for the inspiration.  I think it's great to borrow great ideas and then use what we have in our own craft rooms to create something wonderful!

Thank you so much for stopping by, if you're in the US, please enjoy this Memorial Day weekend. Remembering those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Butterfly Reflections Ink and MFT Sweet Summertime

Hi everyone!  I'm here today with Butterfly Reflections Ink, sharing a card that I've made showing off some new product by MFT.  I've always been a big fan of the Pure Innocence line and I have to say my jaw hit the floor when I saw this brand new Sweet Summertime stamp and die set! And of course I had to have this beautiful and FUN die set, Watermelon Slice!  Also check out this coordinating stamp set, Sweet Sentiments AND matching die, Sweet Die-Namics.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments set in white on black and die cut using these awesome new Skinny Strips Dies.

So I cut a background piece of paper (Birthday Blowout 6x6 pad MFT) A2 sized and glued to my card base.  Then i layered with a stitched rectangle in white and I also added some inking behind my scene using Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. I used this Glitzy Cardstock to cut my watermelon rind out and I love the look!  I also added some Glossy Accents on the seeds and they look so real!  Lastly I added a few enamel dots to complete my card!

Thank you so much for joining me here today, I hope you'll pop over to the Butterfly Reflections Ink Shop and check out all these fun new products!

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Day 3

Hi all, well we're 3 days into the Newton's Nook Design's May reveals and today we've got the cutest set, Newton Cleans Up!  I've created 2 cards for today, these images are so much fun to color, I can't wait to use this set again!

So for my first card I did some ombre inking and added a little bit of water splatter.  I cut out a banner from Frames and Flags Die Set, then Copic Colored my image and popped it on top of the banner using foam tape.  I stamped my sentiment, which is so much fun!  Yes, let's skip those dishes!  And then finished off with some pretty enamel dots!

For my second card, I used this super cute laundry basket image.  Don't you just love Newton snuggling in the clean warm blankets?  I also used a banner from Frames and Flags Die set to stamp my image, then I also stenciled the Tumbling Hearts Stencil using green ink for a tone on tone look with a two tone purple frame!

Thanks for joining me today, stay tuned for our last reveal day tomorrow before all these great products will be available for purchase on Friday, May 17th!

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Day 2

Hi all and welcome to day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs May reveals!  Today we're featuring the sweetest little floral set called Dainty Daisies!

This was such an easy card and boy I'm loving the results! The daisies are so whimsical and so much fun to color, I'd say this set was a must have for my floral stamp collection!

I started by diecutting an oval and distress inking the background.  I copic colored 2 of the daisy clusters, then arranged and layered them over the inked oval. I distress inked my orange background and added a little water splatter for fun, then mounted all on a turquoise base. A few sequins and twine, and my card was complete

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Day 1

Hello Newton fans and welcome to day 1 of the May release!  We've got a lot of awesomeness in store for you this week, so let's get to it!

Today we've got a matching stamp/die combo, Newton's Movie Night and 2 new stencils, Cascading Stars and Popcorn!  My husband and I are huge movie buffs, we also LOVE popcorn.  I'd say it's my favorite snack food.  While I was stenciling the popped corn and die cutting some extra, it was fun to brush a little yellow ink for the butter.

Truthfully, I was getting so hungry while making this card! Wouldn't this be PERFECT to slip a movie gift card into?  In fact, I think I might do that for Father's Day!

Check out all the fun little extras in this set, the 3D glasses, stars, popcorn kernels of different shapes and sizes!

I hope you've enjoyed my card today, make sure to keep scrolling and comment at the DT's blogs for your chance to win this fun and unique stamp set!!!  Also, check out the Newton's Nook online store for lots of amazing products!

Newton's Nook Designs - Winston's Tee Time - Father's Day Card

Hi everyone!  I'm here today with a card that I made for my Dad for Father's Day, I know we're still a month away or so, but I like to work ahead and have something ready to go with a gift that I'll be mailing to him.

My dad is a golfer, so Winston's Tee Time is the PERFECT set to make a card for him with!  I used the stamp and die combo, and Copic colored my images.  I used the Land Borders Die Set to cut the grassy hills from plain and plaid green paper, which I layered, altering them. I added a few flags and a blue plaid background.

For my sentiment, I heat embossed the white text on a black piece of cardstock and cut it out with my paper trimmer.  Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment on the smallest circle die cut from the Frames Squared Die Set!

Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you're enjoying feeling creative.  Pop on over to the NND shop to check out this set and MORE!
