Newton's Nook Designs - Newton's Boo-Tiful Night

Hi Newton's Nook Designs fans, welcome to my blog!  Today I'm showing off a card featuring the stamp set, Newton's Boo-Tiful Night.  I was super excited to work with this set because NND recently added coordinating dies. I'll link all the products below for you to see.

So I started out by diecutting a circle and distress inking the moon in using both a light and dark yellow ink.  Then I placed the die cut circle over the moon and sponged on a light grey. Over that, I sponged a little darker grey on the Cloudy Sky Stencil Then I distress inked all the edges using Black Soot distress ink. I added a heavy splatter of water/white acrylic ink to create the stars.

I cut the hill using the Land Borders die set, then inked it with Tea Dye and Fossilized Amber distress ink. I hoped it would make the top of the earth show the moon glow.  I copic colored the NND images, die cut them and popped them up using foam tape. I glued a few bats over the moon and stamped my sentiment on the hill.

I hope you like my project and thanks for stopping!

I entered this card in the following challenges!

Newton's Nook Designs August Release - Day 4

Hi everyone, welcome to day 4 of the Newton reveals.  This is our final day for August and we've got 3 adorable Halloween themed stamp/die sets for you!  First off is Halloween Trio. I adore these little dressed up critters!!  I distress inked a BIG ol' moon and inked a purple night sky around it with a little water splatter.  I copic colored my trio, die cut them and popped them up in front of the moon.  I love the extra dies that coordinate with this set.  I die cut the Trick Or Treat in black and white, then the top layer with purple glitter. I adore the sweet little bats too!

Second up, Candy Corn.  I adore the little face that you can stamp on the corn.  I created a little wreath and stamped the funny sentiment right in the middle!  The rounded corner stitched rectangle background is from the Frames and Flags die set!

Last card for today! Boo Hoo, isn't that funny?  Oh I just love a cute owl, but pairing it with this little ghost with that sentiment, just really cracked me up!  I also distress inked the ground and added a few little pumpkins.  The spider webs were added from Newton's Perfect Pumpkin. The background panel is from the Frames and Flags die set.

Can anyone guess where I got these pumpkins from???  The answer will be at the VERY bottom of this post if you haven't already guessed!

Hi All!  If you've scrolled down this far...the pumpkins are actually the little word bubbles that cut the Boo and the Hoo out!  I just colored them to look like pumpkins!  How cool is that?

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 4

Hi everyone, today is Day 4 and the final day of previews, before the whole September release goes on sale tomorrow over at Newton's Nook Designs!

I am SO excited about today's stamp/die set, Newton's Costume Party.  While I loved all the sets in this month's release, I'm pretty sure this was my favorite.  Dressing Newton up in all these little costumes was just too much fun!  I love all the little accessories, there are so many options to create little trick or treating characters.

I started by inking my background in Stormy Sky Distress inks, I cut a strip of black grass using the Land Borders Die Set.  I took all of my characters that I'd cut and Copic colored and arranged them in a little Trick Or Treating group!  btw, I heat embossed the sentiment in white before I distress inked the background.  I love how that really stands out on the starry sky.

Thank you so much for dropping by, I'd love to hear from you if you'd like to comment below.. you could WIN this stamp set for yourself, make sure to scroll below to learn how!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 3

Hi all, I'm back today on Day 3 of the NND September release!  Today I'm sharing 2 cards as we've got 2 stamp/die sets to preview for Friday's release!

This first card, I used the new set, "Beautiful Bones" to stamp and die cut these gorgeous sugar skulls.  The leaves from the Autumn Leaves die set, (released last month), are inked up with various fall colors. I inked my background using Antique Linen distress ink and did some black ink splatter.  I glued all my leaves down and popped up skulls and hearts.  I combined these two sets to create my sentiment: Simply Relative and Lovely Blooms.  Zig Zag die cut is by Gina Marie Designs.

My second card uses this "Spooky Skeletons" stamp/die set.  I used Versafine Black Onxy ink to ink up the bats and doggie, then die cut them using the matching dies.  I inked up a large moon, clouds and ground, then stamped stars in the sky, my sentiment on the moon and then glued down my skeletons to complete this scene! Grey dots are by Gina Marie Designs.

Thank you so much for stopping, keep scrolling down to comment and WIN!

Studio Katia New Release Sneak Peeks - Day 1

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited, this is my very first project as a DT member for Studio Katia.  I was so excited when I saw this stamp/die set, Meowy Halloween.  I absolutely love those kitties in their tall Halloween hats!  So without further delay, here's a bit of info on how I made my card:

I started by using a piece of removable Post It cover up tape straight across my background panel.  I first inked my night sky.

Before removing the tape, I mixed a bit of white acrylic paint and water and used my Distress brush to flick the background to look like stars in the night sky.

After the sky dried, I laid down a new piece of tape on the edge of the blue area, then used this combination of brown inks to make my ground. So that's how I made my background!

Once that was finished, I stamped, die cut and Copic colored all my images from the Meowy Halloween stamp set! I wanted to put these cute kitties in a big pumpkin patch!

I stamped a sentiment from Meowy Halloween onto the banner die that comes in the brand new die set, Dotted Patterns Scallop Frames, and popped it up with some foam tape. Lastly I added some of the green sequins from the mix, Witches Cauldron Sequin Fusion.

Here's what the entire set, plus new dies looks like!  Everything you see this week on the Studio Katia blog and DT's blogs, will be available in store on September 15th!

Thank you SO MUCH for joining me, I hope you've enjoyed my card.  Stay tuned for more gorgeous inspiration AND a blog hop this coming Friday, September 15th with lots of prizes!! over at the Studio Katia Blog!

Bugaboo Stamps Halloween Card 3

Hello everyone, another cute card made with Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  I'm so happy that Bugaboo sends out their images in .png files for layering!  I was able to take the ghosts from Cute Halloween Set 2 and layer on top of BugFallFence to create this scene!

I copic colored everything and then layered on some black cardstock and some patterned swirly paper.

Thanks for visiting!!!

Bugaboo Stamps Halloween Set 1 & 2

I had SO much fun creating that first Halloween card using Bugaboo Digital stamps that I felt like creating a second.  This time I used 2 different sets of digi stamps to create my scene.  I pulled the bat from set 1 and the pumpkins from set 2!

I started by die cutting my scene using a Gina Marie Designs slash stich rectangle die, then inking my background with Wilted Violet distress ink and the cloud stencil by MFT .  Then I did a 50/50 ratio of white acrylic paint and water and splattered it on my spooky, halloween-y night sky!

I found the little banner strip in a 6x6 Doodlebug paper pack from last year called "Boos and Brews" and glued it down below. I finished the card with a twine bow tied around a button and the die cut "Hello" by Simon Says Stamp, layered in black and white to really make it stand out!

Bugaboo Stamps Halloween Spider Kitty

Hi everyone, just a quick pop in here to show you a card I've made with a new digi stamp that was just released over at Bugaboo Stamps. This one is called Halloween Spider Kitty.  It appears that there are 4 new images/sets and they are currently 50% off and you get both a .jpeg and a .png file, which I LOVE that.

I die cut the scene using a scalloped square die by Gina Marie Designs. I copic colored all the images and background. The paper is from my stash, I found it in an older American Crafts 6x6 pack.  I layered it to really make the scene stand out!

Here's a link to go shop, I'd hurry if you want to get the sale price!  https://bugaboostamps.com/

Thanks for stopping, please leave a comment as I love hearing from you!
