CYCI#109 - White, Yellow and Turquoise Color Challenge

Hi everyone, happy weekend! I was really looking forward to this weeks challenge because who doesn't love this gorgeous color combination?

I made a fairly simple card with this gorgeous Gina Marie Designs Die called "Flower Background Die" linked here - Flower Background Die

I ran the die through my BigShot on some plain white cardstock. Then I distressed all the petals with 2 colors of distress ink, (Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean). Once dry, I glued them in and added a few white dots with my UniBall gel pen. I then mounted the panel on Sunshine cardstock by MFT. Finishing off this card with a nice sentiment from a new WPlus9 stamp set called, "That Is All"

CYCI#108 - Sketch Challenge

Good morning from sunny South Carolina! It's been a bit grey and cold for a while now, but I'm starting to see the beginnings of spring, we've had a couple days with partial sunshine. Hooray!

Following this week's sketch over at CYCI, I used some patterned paper (old pack and I can't remember who made this), and cut out the striped background using the largest stitched rectangle by Lil'Inkers Designs.

Then I took one of my favorite dies by Gina Marie Designs, (reminds me of the sun), and cut it out from a very new color cardstock by MFT, called Pineapple. The cross stitched circle is also a Gina Die and I'll link them below.

I colored up this fun little hot air balloon by Lawn Fawn, "Blue Skies". Actually, this is the first stamp set I ever purchased from LF and I still love it! The sunshine word die is from SimonSaysStamp and then a couple little enamel dots, sequins and gems finished it off!

CC Designs Pollycraft Sweetheart Valentine

Hello everyone! I decided to show off this cute image by CC Designs named Sweetheart. My cousin Vonnie has gotten me interested in this line of cute little pixies! I had been coloring her when I saw the latest challenge over at The Challenge, it turns out it's perfect for their color challenge!

Aside from the main image, the background stamp is by Impression Obsession, a french script that I love, stamped in grey Memento ink. The dies are by Gina Marie Designs, her lovely stitched circle, doily and sentiment. I added a few doodlebug pearls and a tiny heart by SSS.

CYCI#107 Color Challenge - Kraft, Purple and White

Hello everyone and welcome to the CYCI#107 Color Challenge. I hope everyone is doing well. This week I had so little time to prepare..I have a friend coming for the weekend and we are going to shop and craft, craft and shop..and hopefully eat somewhere in there too, if we remember! So needless to say, I've been spending more time cleaning the craft room than playing in it!

So I made a quickie CAS card. This is not at all my normal style, but I have to admit, I enjoyed being able to stamp, heat emboss and add a few gems. (yes Linda, you are right..I can't live without my gems!) I think I may try making a few more CAS cards here and there!

OSAT Blog Hop - Love Is In The Air!

So let me just state the obvious right away, I LOVE mushrooms! I can eat them in and on everything and I especially love to color them! So I started by sponging Broken China and Mowed Lawn Ranger Distress inks to color my sky and grass. I stamped, Copic colored and fussy cut all the images. I chose the second largest Cross Stitched Oval die from Gina Marie Designs to build my scene, with lots of mushrooms and a cute little gnome near his garden!
