Avery Elle Hummingbird for Butterfly Reflections Ink.

Hello, I'm here today with Butterfly Reflections Ink. featuring a GORGEOUS stamp/die combo by Avery Elle called Hummingbird. I was so happy to see this set in the shop because it's one that I'd been wanting to color up for a while. I love hummingbirds and it's just about time to get my feeders out and enjoy the return of these beauties to South Carolina!

So I stamped out the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Copic colored them. (for a list of colors used, see below). I die cut using the coordinating dies. I used Broken China distress ink on my white panel cut slightly smaller than my dark purple A2 sized card base. I added a bit of white paint splatter over the inked area.

I then white heat embossed the word wonderful on black cardstock and cut it out. I stamped the rest of the sentiment above and below which I like the look of.  I assembled the scene with Fuchsia hanging and the hummer approaching to feed.  A few sequins and my card is complete!

Thanks so much for stopping by, hop on over to the BRI shop and grab this beautiful set for yourself!

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Day 4

Hi all, welcome to day 4 which is the final day of the March release at Newton's Nook Designs! Today we're featuring this super adorable stamp/die combo called "Garden Mice". I love the way Jen draws her mice, they are sooooo adorable!

I have been wanting to try some CAS cards lately and these images are so perfect to really stand out on their own. I looked at the pretty shaped die in the Frames Squared set, and decided to make a stencil by cutting it out on a separate piece of cardstock.

I inked up the cutout shape in pink, green and blue, then foam popped up these sweet little Copic colored mice and added a sentiment down below. They make PERFECT note cards and I've already mailed two of them.  I guess I'll be making more to have on hand whenever I need a cute little card to pop in the mail to someone!

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Day 3

Hi all and welcome to day 3 of the March release at Newton's Nook Designs!  Today we're featuring another stamp set that coordinates with the new Frames Squared Die Set. It's Newton's Block Party!  Isn't this cool with birthday kitties all the way around?

So on this card, I started with a 5x5 card base, then cut my patterned X and O paper slightly smaller. I used the square scallop die and cut out some metallic gold. I stamped out my image, the cut it right on the line all the way around using my paper trimmer. I added a slightly larger piece of black cardstock to layer on top of the gold. I added a Happy Birthday sentiment right to the center.

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs March release!  And today we're sharing a new type of stamp that coordinates with the also new "Frames Squared Die Set" as you see pictured right below. I love making square cards and as you can see in this set, there are lots of nice coordinating shapes and sizes!

For my card today, I used a 5x5 card base, and then cut the largest two sizes out, the rounded square with my green pattern paper, then I cut my stamped image out using the scalloped square.

I copic colored all the pretty flowers and added a sentiment to the center and a few sequins around. I love this color combination of the greens and pinks. It reminds me of spring and my grandma, these were her colors!

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Day 1

Hi all, today is day 1 of the March release at Newton's Nook Designs and we've got 2 stamp/die combos and 1 new stencil to show you!

For this first card using Paw-some Birthday, I started by inking up the new Balloons stencil for my background. I chose 4 colors and just randomly inked up the balloons, I love the look! Then I Copic colored the black lab with this birthday gifts and foam popped it on this rounded square die cut (part of a new die set we'll be showing you tomorrow!)

For this second card I die cut the kitties from Newton's Birthday Trio and Copic colored them. I had already inked another panel using the Balloon Stencil, so I tucked that behind a turquoise panel where I used the rounded square die to cut a window. I popped the panel up using foam tape, then glued on my Newton Trio.

Thanks SO much for joining me here, make sure to comment on all the DT's blogs for your chance to win!  Keep scrolling!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #465 - Guest Sweetie

Hi all, I'm posting a project today as a Guest Sweetie over at the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge blog!  Challenge #465 brings us a "Plaid Themed Challenge" and is being sponsored by Newton's Nook Designs!

So for my card, I used an A2 sized card base. I stenciled a light blue panel that I trimmed slightly smaller than the 4.25x5.5. Using both Tumbled glass and Salty Ocean on this 2 piece Argyle Stencil .  Did you know that Newton's Nook Designs has 2, 2-piece stencils that you can create plaid backgrounds with?  See below!

I colored up this sweet image from Newton's Easter Basket, linked below and used the coordinating dies to cut out the image.  I added a couple of extra eggs along the bottom of my fancy rectangle die cut and also added a bit of blue distress ink behind the image to make it really stand out. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I also added a few light blue enamel dots for decoration!

Thanks so much for stopping, make sure to hop over and link up your own entry for this challenge, you just might win!

Newton's Nook Designs - April Showers

Hi all and happy Friday, wow I can't believe we're already heading into the weekend!  Today I'm here with a card that matches my mood.  We have literally had the rainiest February ever and now with March here, I wonder if the sun is going to stay out for a while?

I created this card using some super fun Newton's Nook Designs Products.

I started by inking up an A2 sized panel with the stencil Floral Lace. I stamped this sweet sentiment using April Showers then framed it out in a darker teal using this die from the Framework Die Set.

At the top I added that adorable frog umbrella from Umbrella Pals and cut out using the coordinating dies.  Lastly, I couldn't resist adding some flowers from the new Flower Trio die set with some leaves!

Thanks so much for stopping, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
