Taylored Expressions - Under The Toadstool

Hello everyone, I'm coming to you on a very gloomy day to show off these super duper adorable garden gnomes by Taylored Expressions.  The set is called "Under the Toadstool" and YES, my gnomes ARE under the toadstool, lol.  that wasn't planned.

My photo is not as bright as I'd like it to be..no sunny windows, which to photograph by.  Oh well, I hope you can see past that and enjoy the cuteness of these little guys.

I Copic colored the gnomes and mushroom after stamping and diecutting them out.   I then distress inked behind them and used my stylus to place some tiny droplets of water to make the air around these guys, magical looking!

There are many stamp companies that I really love, but Taylored Expressions is at the very top.  I don't know if it's the cute images, the fonts, the packaging..probably all of it, but I'm truly enamored with them.

Giveaway Alert - Gina Marie Designs Starry Sky Background Die + Mama Elephant Bear Hugs

Hello everyone, we're nearing the end of the week, wow, that went quick!  I'm showing off today, this amazing Starry Sky Background Die by Gina Marie Designs.  Omgosh, I just love, love this die!  And I knew the Mama Elephant Bear Hugs set would be perfect for it.

I inked my blue cardstock up with a little Blue Denim/DustyConcord and Black Soot distress inks.  I Copic colored the bears and the moon and popped both up to give it a little dimension.  It's impossible to see, but I added some stickles inside the stars, it's really prettier in person.

So I thought I'd do a little giveaway for this Starry Sky die, it's only for Instagram users this time, (not through commenting here on my blog).  If you see up in the right corner where it says "Connect", that little pic of the camera is a link for my IG account.  You do not have to be a follower, just leave me a comment and I'll be choosing a winner next Thursday, a week from today.  Open to U.S residents only.

I am rutabagapiedesigns on Instagram :)

Power Poppy - Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher - Card 2

So, one more Mothers Day card, using the same image, in a different color scheme.  I had colored up these tulips a second time.  And thankfully I did!  This morning my son asked if I had a mothers day card he could give to his girlfriends mom.  How awesome did that work out?  He wrote a special message in the card, I hope that helped make her day!

If you'd like to check out this image over at Power Poppy, just click on it and go shop for this beauty and plenty more!

And the sentiment came from this set, click to shop!

Thanks for stopping by, I love hearing from you!

Power Poppy - Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher - Card 1

Happy Mothers Day to all my friends in blog land.  There's nothing more important than teaching our children and loving them without condition.  Then they go out into the world and do good things..and we can always use more of that :)  I've had the nicest morning with my family, my son has given me so many hugs and told me how much he loves me.  What more could a mom want?

This is the card I made for my own mom, I mailed it off to her this past week, I'm hoping she enjoyed receiving it!  I know that she loves flowers and who can resist tulips in a hobnail pitcher!?  I wish I could be with her today, to celebrate.  But, later on we'll spend some time gabbing on the phone.  The only problem with living so far away..you really miss being together on special days like this.

If you haven't checked out out the Power Poppy images, I suggest you do so!  I've linked the tulips below, just click on the photo to shop.  Marcella has a great selection of both physical and digital images.  I don't think there is any artist that draws flowers like she does!

Thanks for stopping, I'd love to hear from you if you have a chance to comment :)

LilyBoo's Pretty Cottage Digital - Daisy Jars

Hi everyone, wow, middle of the week already!  I've had the opportunity to create just for myself this week and it's been lovely.

I made this card for my husband to give to someone special who has gone above and beyond to help out.  I haven't colored a digi image in a while, and I'd purchased a few gorgeous images from Lilyboo's Pretty Cottage.  I've posted the pic/link below, just click and you can head right over to their store and grab this for your own digi library :)

As for the rest of it..I copic colored the image, added a couple of metal doodads and some twine.  The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn set, "Blue Skies" and the xxx oval die is by MFT,

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

CYCI #118 - Sketch Challenge - Taylored Expressions Happy Hens

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having an excellent day, I appreciate you stopping by to see what I have to share with you today.  I am loving this sketch challenge over at CYCI, so versatile!  As you can see, I've flipped the design horizontally and it works perfect.  I just know you'll come up with an interesting take of your own, so I hope you'll join in!

I cannot tell you just how much I love Taylored Expressions stamps, and this happens to be one of my favorite little stamp/die sets, Happy Hens.  I'm a chicken lover, so I can hardly stand the cuteness of this one!  I sponged the background stencil called "Honeycomb" by Wendy Vecchi (click on pics to shop) in both Hickory Smoke and Pumice Stone.  Cardstock is by MFT and the embossing powder I prefer and plan to use just about exclusively now is by Brutus Monroe "Alabaster".

So head on over to CYCI and upload your latest project for our sketch!  Thanks for stopping, hope to see you again soon!

P.S...I'm sharing this card with my mother in law who is battling breast cancer and will be having a mastectomy this week.  She loves chickens and this card will cheer her up!
