Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 429

Hi everyone!  Today I'm a "Guest Sweetie" over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog! Our challenge this week is a color challenge, using Orange, Green and Brown! (see photo below)  Perfect for any remaining Halloween or Fall cards on your to-do list!

For my project, I used this super sweet Halloween stamp set, Newton's Perfect Pumpkin. I fussy cut the images and Copic colored them.  I created a background panel and inked it with Dried Marigold Distress Ink and did a little water splatter on it.  I stamped my sentiment and spider/web with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I glued my images and a few sequins on the panel.  All of it was mounted on some green cardstock and some patterned pumpkin paper from the 6x6 Boo-Ville pack by Doodlebug!

Thanks for stopping, make sure to enter your own project over at the challenge and you could win a prize!  This week is sponsored by Newton's Nook Designs!!

Newton's Nook Shades of Autumn

Hi everyone!  I'm up on the blog today over at Newton's Nook Designs with this fall card I made using one of my FAVORITE fall sets, Shades of Autumn.  I love all the leaves that come in this set and that sweet little acorn.  The sketchy way they're drawn gives the images such beautiful shading.  I like to use my StampinUp inks on these leaves and ink each images in 2-3 different colors. To me, they almost look real!

I layered my leaves on top of some dark tan cardstock and beautiful fall plaid paper.  I tied a bit of twine and added some green pearls by Doodlebug to finish it all off!
Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you've enjoyed my project and found some inspiration here!!!  Have a great weekend!

Sympathy Card Unity Sentiment Kit

Hi everyone...coming to you today with a card that I didn't want to have to make. I recently learned that a very sweet and talented lady in our crafting community lost her daughter.  My heart breaks for this family. I'll be mailing this tomorrow and hope that it brings some comfort.

I went right to my Unity stash because their kits always seem to have such beautiful sentiments.  I was grateful to have this set on hand.

The patterned paper is by Pebbles, "Warm and Cozy".  I purchased this 6x6 pad from Butterfly Reflections Ink recently, and I just love every sheet of paper in it.  Cardstock is Fresh Asparagus by GinaK

Thank you everyone for stopping today.  I hope you're having a nice week and remember to be kind to one another.

Newton's Nook Designs October Release Day 4

Hi everyone, welcome to day 4, the final day of the October previews!  Tomorrow, all these amazing products you've seen from the DT this week will be available for sale!

Today I'm starting with this card I made using the "Naughty or Mice" stamp/die set.  I'm so in love with these cute little mice images.  And while I LOVE each and every product in this release, these mice sort of stole my heart.  I started by stamping and die cutting the images.  I sponged some Weathered Wood distress inks in the areas I'd be placing my mice on a white panel.  I found the fun paper in a new pack of holiday prints I bought at Hobby Lobby recently. I thought the trees and colors went very well together with the colors I chose for the mice!

For my second card I decided to go with a simple design.  Using the new Snowfall Stencil, I inked some weathered wood on my card base creating the subtle snowflakes.  I colored up this sweet little Newton popping out of the chimney and added the little North Pole sign on my circle die cut.  I don't often make CAS cards, but I thought I'd give it a try!

Before I direct you to scroll down for your chance to win these awesome stamp sets!!!, I wanted to introduce you to the newest member of my family..AND the inspiration behind the Santa Newton on my second card.

About a month ago, my son's friends found a litter of kittens with a mama kitten that was literally starving.  We opened our home to her while she was nursing her little family and fed her until her health returned.  As of last weekend, all kittens and mama found their forever homes. However, there was one little one I was unable to part with.  She had stolen my heart!  Meet Ashe...

Winter Kobi - Studio Katia

Hello!  I'm here today with a Christmas card I've made using the super sweet Winter Kobi stamps and coordinating die sets by Studio Katia!  I started by stamping all my images and Copic coloring them.  Then I cut a snow hill from a die in my stash and the background panel using the rectangle from Dotted Patterns Set 1.  I distress inked my sky using Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire.  I stamped this pretty Merry Christmas sentiment in the Sweet Holiday Clear Stamp set and I thought it fit perfectly!

I was concerned to try and draw my rope leading from Kobi to the sled, so I noticed that the balloon string on Kobi The Birthday Bear stamp set would work perfectly. I assembled and glued down my scene and found some pretty red paper to use as my base on top of my card layer.  I added some Majestic Confetti around the scene to add a little more shine!

Thanks SO MUCH for joining me today.  I'll add links for all the Studio Katia products I've used on
my card below.

Newton's Nook Designs October Release Day 3

Hello, it's Day 3 of the October Release previews at Newton's Nook!  Today, we're showing you two new stamp sets!  This first set is called Stylish Stockings and there are coordinating dies available.  For this card, I used some retro-ish styled papers, with a little lace.  I stamped all 3 stockings in inks that coordinated with the papers. I added a bow on the banner that I stamped with a sentiment from the new Sentiments of the Season.

My second card features this really fun set, Reindeer Roll Call.  I stamped the reindeer images and snowflakes in a vertical pattern and then added the reindeer names on a banner with a bit of twine tied around the top.  This was a really fun, quick card to make!

Newton's Nook is adding some shaker building materials to their store, this wonderful foam with adhesive backing that you can roll through your cutting machine.and the shape comes out perfect.  It was a super easy way to create my window.  They're also carrying acetate sheets that have the protective film on them, so once you've peeled it, the sheet is pristine!  Watch for both products in store this Friday and check out the photos below to see how easy it is to cut and mount!

Newton's Nook Designs October Release Day 1

Hi everyone!  Today is Day 1 of the Newton's Nook Designs October/Holiday Release.  Omgosh this week is going to be so exciting, filled with lots of amazing new holiday products!!! Make sure to visit the shop this coming Friday, October 20th when this release is in the shop to purchase!

My first project, I colored these amazing images from the All Aboard Stamp and matching die set.  You can see the photo below of the full set, with all the adorable critters you can add to Santa's train cars!  It's sort of hard to see, but I also used the new Snowfall Stencil with Moonstone Nuvo Glitter Paste to create the sparkly snowy background.

I just LOVE this new stamp set, Sentiments of the Season.  I love the brush script font, see photo below for all the beautiful sentiments you get in this set!  So I heat embossed one of them in white and added lots of pretty greenery and pinecones from a die set, already carried in the store, Pines and Holly Die set  This is a great set to own, you can add pine needles, ivy, berries and pine cones to just about all your holiday cards!  I also did a tone on tone background using this brand new, gorgeous Holiday Foliage Stencil.  A little gold glitter on the pinecones and some sequins gives it the right amount of sparkle!

Studio Katia Foxes - Fall/Thank You Themed card

Hi everyone!  I hope you're having a wonderful week so far!

Today I'm up on the Studio Katia blog with a Fall/Thank You Themed card.  I've combined images and sentiments from 3 different stamp/die sets to create my scene.  I started by inking the hugging fox from the Foxes stamp and die set in 2 different colors.  A peach for the top of their heads and a rust for their bodies.  This gives the image a little highlight.  I colored in the closed eye with a black pen to make their eyes stand out a bit more.  I also stamped, colored and cut the tree trunk and mushroom from the same Foxes set.

Using the  Dotted Oval Creative Dies on white cardstock I cut the oval out to make my background.  I sponged Pumice Stone Distress Ink onto my  oval and spritzed it with a bit of water.  I stamped, colored and cut both sizes of pumpkin from Meowy Halloween to place around the tree trunk.  I used the coordinating dies from Giving Thanks to cut that gorgeous "Thanks" out for my sentiment.  I put the whole scene together on top of a grey plaid paper from the Hello Fall 6x6 paper pack by Carta Bella.  I popped up the fox, the thanks and one of the pumpkins using foam tape.  I finished off the whole thing with a little bling, the Rose Gold Fusion Sequins

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you've enjoyed my project for this Fall/Thank You themed week over at Studio Katia!
