Scribbles Designs - Guest Design - #833 Blue Police Booth

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas Eve!  This is my last Guest Design post for Scribbles Designs and I have really enjoyed playing around with their lovely digital images!  Thank you to the Scribbles Team for the opportunity!

I'm sharing a card with you that is so unlike any image I've ever colored before.  I saw that Scribbles Designs had this super cool Blue Police Booth.  For Dr. Who fans, this would be known as a "Tardis".  Now I'll be honest, I know close to nothing about Dr. Who, but I happen to live with two fans, both my husband and son. They like to talk about the show and I feel completely in the dark!

So, in the spirit of research, I watched 2 episodes of Dr. Who the other night.  I'm going to be honest..the second episode scared me and I had to turn it off, or I wouldn't sleep that night!  I did think it was interesting and found myself getting into it a bit.

So here's my Whovian Creation, I hope you like it!  I've colored up a few, including a birthday card that I plan to give one of the boys this coming year!

Here are the Copic colors I used to create a close version of Tardis Blue

Thanks for visiting my blog, Happy Holidays!

Here we are, just a few weeks to Christmas and I'm posting late summer/fall cards!  Truth is, I colored this a while back and just never photographed or posted it.  So, with the cold grey skies and dropping temps, I thought this might be a warm, happy project to share.

If you're not familiar with #PowerPoppy, I encourage you to drop in at the shop and check out all the beautiful images they offer in both clear stamp and digi.  This happens to be a digi stamp called, Sunshine of My Life and here's what it looks like uncolored.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you'll leave me a comment just to say hi!

Unity Kit of the Month October 2016 card

So just a short time back I became a Unity KOTM club member.  And I have colored up a BUNCH of these images and have spent no time at all turning them into cards.  So now that's what I'm about to do..starting with this one :)  I'm about to pop this one in the mail, so I thought I'd take a quick pic of it and get it blogged.  I'm sure I'll only be blogging a few of them, because this time of year it's all about cranking these cards out, lol!

FYI, if you've ever been considering becoming a Unity Kit member, well now is the time to do it.  In 2017 the prices will be going up, but as a current member, you'd be grandfathered in, at least through next year.  AND, you can purchase past kits at a discount..like this one!

This is the kit I used from October 2016, as you can see there are a lot of awesome images here!

So back to cardmaking and various other chores around the house this Monday afternoon, I hope you are having a GREAT day!

Bo Bunny Holly Jolly - Green Santa!

So if you've followed me a while, you may know what a huge fan of Santa I am.  I'm always on the search for the cutest Santa images, big ones, small ones, fat ones, thin ones!  This image came from a newer release by #BoBunny, called "Holly Jolly"

I've committed to coloring this guy 4 ways before Christmas.  This is card #2, my Red Santa posted a week ago or so.  I LOVE him in Green, what do you guys think???

I picked this set up from a friend of mine, Deana Benson over at her Etsy shop, you may want to grab Bo Bunny Holly Jolly for your holiday cards, it's so darned cute!

Ornamental Newton by Newtons Nook Designs and Kat Scrappiness

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a wonderful relaxing Sunday!  I'm here today with Kat Scrappiness showing off an adorable #NewtonsNookDesigns stamp set #OrnamentalNewton that Kat has in the shop!  I used my Stampoholic Stamping Tool to get a perfect impression while stamping!

I copic colored the Newton Kitty, and cut him out.  Behind him on the white square layer, I floated in some distress ink in Peacock Feathers.  I cut all the square layers and sentiment circle out, using some of Kat's awesome stitched dies.  They cut so beautifully and are really a bargain!  I'll link all the products I've used below.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day!

Gina Marie Designs Poinsettia Die and 4x4 Circle Quilted Die

Hi all, just enjoying a lazy Saturday.  I got some housecleaning done and now I think I'll poke around on the internet for a bit before a little crafty time.

Wanted to show you a new card I made using some of Gina Marie Designs new dies.  Gina has a growing line of quilt dies and this is her brand new one, Circle Quilted Die #4.  I'm going to be posting another card that I used this same quilt on soon, but I couldn't wait to show off these gorgeous vibrant Poinsettia Set 1 Dies!  I love the details on these and thought they looked stunning against the plain creme colored quilt pattern.

GMD has 3 different poinsettia dies, if you'd like to check out all of them http://wholesalecraftingsupplies.com/products?keywords=poinsettia

Lastly I add Gina's Cursive Merry Christmas Die in sparkly gold layered on top of red in 4 layers to make it really stand up off the card.  I finished with some pearls and May Arts string.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Welcome to my blog! I am really excited to share this card with my fellow Coffee Loving Papercrafters.  I would absolutely love for my tree to look like this IRL, with all these yummy Lattes, cocoa mugs and Starbucks coffees!  I remembered I had these really fun digital images that a sponsor, Sunny Studios released last year during the hop so I decided to put my brand new SNC2 to the test!

Wow, each tiny cup and mug cut out perfectly and then I got to have all the fun coloring!  These digital images are no longer offered, however Sunny Studios has released this same set in a clear stamp "Mug Hugs", which I'll link below.

If you're wondering where that AMAZING tree die came from, it's from Kat Scrappiness online store and they also happen to be sponsoring this hop.  Make sure you pop over and check out the sale Kat's got going on!  This tree is one that I use over and over, I think you will love it too ;)  And yes those tiny candy canes and star are part of the die set!  The zig zag frame die and moon are from Gina Marie Designs, which you can also pick up in Kat's shop.  I'll link everything below.

Scribbles Designs #872 Woodland Santa

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you're here in the U.S.  So it's time to start breaking out all things Christmas.  I'm absolutely loving this digital Woodland Santa image by Scribbles Designs.  Isn't he gorgeous?

I really wanted to color him in non-traditional colors, so I chose a rich purple.  For my sentiment, I added this gorgeous new Believe die by SimonSaysStamp.  I'll link all the product I used below.  Thanks so much for stopping, check out this digi and many more over at Scribbles Designs!

People ask me all the time, what kind of white paper do I use for Copic Coloring.  I prefer the Hammermill Color Copy Digital Cover 80# and I order it from Amazon, it's priced great, my Copics blend perfectly and it's bright white as opposed to the grey tint some blending papers have.  But best of all is the price and it feeds through my printer perfectly when I print digis.  Here's a link if you'd like to order:

Paper Piecing a Gina Marie Designs Cute Snowman!

Ok, so this one was a little bit more challenging, lots of snipping to piece all these bits of paper.  But, it's all fun and seeing the results, I'm quite pleased!

This is a new die by Gina Marie Designs "Cute Snowman".  I also used a few of her older dies to create this scene, I'll link them all below!  Thanks for stopping :)

Gina Marie Designs Give Thanks

Hi everyone, popping on with a quick card that I made using this beautiful "Give Thanks" die by Gina Marie Designs that I picked up in the Kat Scrappiness shop.

I recently purchased this used stamp set by Stampin Up from someone.  I thought the leaves were so gorgeous! I stamped them out on Bristol Watercolor paper and colored them with distress inks of various fall colors.

Once dry, I mounted on copper glitter paper and then gave this gorgeous die cut a prominent place on the card front.  I cut it out in both cream and brown to accent it.

Thanks for stopping, have a great day!

Kat Scrappiness and Gina Marie Designs Dies for Fall/Harvest Time

Hi everyone, happy November.  Wow, I cannot believe we've sped through 2016 as quickly as we have.  So down here in South Carolina, it's still summer, but I'm pretending that it's fall.  I so badly miss the gorgeous colors of the north during this season.

So today I've got some new products to show you that are in the Kat Scrappiness shop, here's a link if you'd like to pop over there and do a little shopping!

If you haven't tried #GinaMarieDesigns dies, both the Slash Stitch and these Patterned Pumpkins are some of new my favs.  Kat carries a large selection of Gina's dies, so make sure to check that out.

I'm very happy to finally have a nice Thanksgiving sentiments stamp set, these stamp so lovely.  And, you really need to try these Fabrika enamel, glass and glitter drops.  Kat has a hard time keeping them stocked, they just fly off the shelf. I love how they keep their shape and dry super hard.  No more smooshed dots!

I've linked the products used below! Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you've enjoyed my harvest/fall project!

Jennifer Dove Freebie + Gina Marie Designs Slash Stitch Dies

Hello everyone, and happy Thursday.  Wow, the weekend is almost here, what a fast week it's been!  My son is playing baseball this weekend at NC State, so I'll be hitting the road for the Raleigh/Durham area tomorrow.

So I thought today would be a great day to show off a card I made using a free digi from #JenniferDove.  I just happened to be perusing through my blog feed and saw her gorgeous card she made using this image.  Head over there to check out her original art and leave a little love before picking up this freebie for yourself.

After printing out this digi, I noticed the size of these new Gina Marie Designs Slash Stitched Rectangle Dies go perfect with this image.  I used the 2 largest sizes from the set.  You can find these dies and a ton more at Kat Scrappiness, link to shop below.

After I finished Copic coloring the image, I added some Wink of Stella to the "Boo" for shimmer and some Crystal Nuvo Drops on the pumpkin.  The black sequins are from the Kat Scrappiness Boo-Tacular Sequin Mix, there are multiple colors in the mix, but I fished out the 2 sizes of the black/grey colored ones.  All products, with exception of image and May Arts ribbon were purchased from Kat Scrappiness.

So that's it, I've posted a few other angles of the card below.  I hope you've enjoyed my project, thank you for stopping by!  I appreciate your comments, so, so much!

JustRite Papercraft New Holiday Release!

Hi everyone!  I'm here today showing off some of JustRite Papercrafts brand new products from their holiday release!

I started by using Stitched A2 Banner and Rectangle Set, cutting out a piece of Kraft cardstock.  I took the tiny deer out of the Small Oval Christmas Tidings stamp set, and created my own background paper with them.  I used a white gel pen to draw in the little white circles between the deer.

I layered that on a black panel and then on the very light blue panel to really make the deer layer stand out.  I cut my snowflake out and layered the sentiment from the Inside and Outside Sentiments set, don't you just love that scripty font?

I finished my card off with some twine and light blue enamel dots.  I'm quite partial to this color combination.  I hope you like my project and thank you so much for stopping!  You can click on the photos to take you right to the shop, or just use this link!

Kat Scrappiness Fall Card using Newton's Nook and CheeryLynn Designs

Happy Monday everyone and welcome fall!  Here in South Carolina it's been so hot for so long, our temps have finally cooled down a bit and I'm so happy about that!

I'm coming off a big baseball weekend..as a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs, I am beyond thrilled that they've advanced to the World Series.  In addition, my 17 year old son had a big weekend on the baseball diamond.  So I did a lot of cheering this weekend!

Today I'm showing you a card I made with some fun products from Kat Scrappiness!  I stamped this fun sentiment from Newton's Nook Designs "Fall-ing For You" on a Kat Scrappiness oval stitched die cut and layered on top of another, 1 size larger.  I then heat embossed the sentiment  using VersaFine ink and clear EP.  I fussy cut and copic colored the pumpkins and coffee cup.

The papers are by #EchoPark, Fall Is In the Air and the Pumpkin Swag die cut is by #CheeryLynnDesigns.  I finished it off with some sequins from Kat's Aww-Tumn Sequin Mix, a pretty wood button and some Twine from Lawn Fawn.
