Newton's Nook Designs/Xyron Collaboration Week

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Xyron are partnering for a very awesome inspiration week! Each day there is fresh inspiration using Newton's Nook Designs products with Xyron adhesives on the NND blog and on the Xyron facebook page!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Newton's Nook Designs and Xyron Collaboration Week!  Today I'm up on the blog showing off a project I've made using amazing products from both companies to create this card!

I started by stenciling the back panel using the brand new Sunscape Stencil with Wild Honey and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks. I did a little spritz with shimmer spray over my sunbeams after.  I then cut a hill out of kraft cardstock using Land Border Dies and my waves using the Sea Border Dies (which I'd dry embossed before cutting, using a Stampin Up Embossing Folder).  I used my Xyron Teresa Collins Mega Runner to attach the hill and waves to my cardfront.  So easy with this tape runner!

I then stamped my palm trees using VersaFine Black Onyx ink using Paradise Palms I stamped out my little mermaid from the Mermaid Crossing stamp set. I Copic colored her and added glitter to her body/tail.

Thanks so much for visiting, I hope you've enjoyed my project.  Keep scrolling for your chance to WIN!!!

I love this Mega Tape Runner, no mess and the adhesive holds strong! It worked perfect to attach all the elements to my card!  When you order, don't forget to pick up a refill that comes in 100ft lengths!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Day 3

Hello Newton fans and welcome to day 3 of our reveals at Newton's Nook Designs!  Today, you may notice we have a theme going?  How many of you are wine and or coffee drinkers?  Well, to be honest, I enjoy both.  Wine on occasion and coffee every single day!

On my first card, I just wanted a simple little design.  I LOVE the font on the main image from this stamp set, "Coffee and Wine", which is the sentiment.  I thought it was fun to stamp all the little coffee and wine images like a wreath sort of.  It was so much fun to color these little cuties!

Next I used the stamp/die combo "Wine a Little" to create this fun card.  I started by stenciling the background using a NND stencil, Bubbly  I stamped out and colored the images and mounted them on a distress inked banner.  A very simple card to make that I think turned out quite good.

So I hope you've enjoyed my cards today, keep scrolling and comment for your chance to win one of these sets!

Hi everyone, welcome to day 2 of the June reveals at Newton's Nook Designs.  Today we're featuring this super amazing stamp/die set, Loveable Llamas.  I just love coloring these llamas and the little accessories!

I started with a tiny star background paper and inked over the top using the new Sunscape stencil.  I added a little xoxo banner and popped up my llama and added his pretty blanket and a pot of cacti!  Lastly I stamped the sentiment right over the sun.  I just love how it turned out!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Day 1

Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 of the June reveals at Newton's Nook Designs!  Today we're showing off a brand new stamp/die set called Playful Pandas along with 2 new gorgeous stencils "Serene Stripe" and "Sunscape"

I've got a few Panda stamp sets, but this one is my favorite already, just for the Panda poses alone.  It was fun being able to stamp these cuties out and create a scene using the Serene Stripe stencil that sort of looks like bamboo the way I inked it, don't you think?

I copic colored the little pieces of bamboo and the bowl of noodles.  Such a simple card to make, that turned out super cute!

Stay tuned for a lot more inspiration this week.  Make sure to comment on all the blogs to win!

Hero Arts On The Prairie

Hello and I'd like to wish everyone celebrating today, a Happy Father's Day.  I'm planning on traveling to see my parents/family next week, so I'll be able to celebrate with my own Dad then!

So today, I've got a card to show you.  I purchased this new die, "On The Prairie" by Hero Arts.  I was really excited to play around with this and wow, do I ever love it!  I started by cutting the skull out and then with the negative, I inked my card base so that when I popped the skull up, the eye and nose holes would be darkened.  I like the look!  I then cut out the flowers in 3 colors along with the foliage and arranged them around the popped up skull.  Lastly I added a few pearls from Queen and Co. to add a little extra pizazz!

Thanks for stopping, enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

The sentiment is from an old CTMH set, September Word Puzzle D1310R

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Garden Girl Lily of the Valley

Hello, happy Saturday!  Today I've had the whole house to myself, so it's been very quiet and I was able to get some coloring time in.

I recently purchased this super sweet stamp by Stamping Bella, linked below.  Image was stamped out on Tim Holtz Sizzix Stitched Rectangle Thinlits Die 661189.

I've been practicing with some new markers lately, they are not quite as easy to blend with as my Copics..but they are very decent markers for the budget minded looking for alcohol inks.  My cousin Linda purchased a set of these Touchnew markers from Amazon for me as a gift and I must say I'm quite pleased with them.  I'll link them below.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping!

Unity 12/17 KOTM card - Monarch with flowers

Hi everyone..it's Saturday and a super hot day here in South Carolina, so i'm indoors hiding from the heat!

So today I'm showing off an image from one of my Unity KOTM (Kit Of The Month) from Dec 2017.  I've been a member now for going on 2 years I think.  I've got a LOT of wonderful images and so I'm challenging myself to use them more often!

I have to say, I'm pretty over the top about images like this.  The Monarch butterfly wing with the floral collection on the other side.  There's just something so graceful about this image, it really speaks to me!

I colored this with my Arteza watercolor markers on the Bristol Smooth watercolor cardstock.  I used the sentiment that also came in this kit and finished off with a few sequins.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Newton's Nook Designs Tiki Time

Hi everyone, happy Friday!  Wow, it's been a whirlwind week for me.  Last night my son graduated high school..he's my one and only.  So it's bittersweet, but I couldn't be more proud!

So it's time to kick my heels up and party a little with a card I made using the soon to be retired Tiki Time Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies  I adore this set, it's just so much fun. Make sure to pick Tiki Time up before it's gone!

I started by die cutting my outer rectangle in yellow cardstock.  I stenciled it in a tone on tone look with yellow ink using Floral Lace Stencil  I also added flowers, greenery and a toucan from the Toucan Party and coordinating dies set around my Tiki drinks!  Last I added a banner from Frames and Flags dies and sentiment stamped in Versafine Onyx!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your weekend!
