CYCI#106 - Sketch Challenge

Hi all!  I hope you're having a wonderful weekend thus far!  This week we have a sketch challenge going over at Can You Case It.  It's a fairly simple sketch, you can make it as elaborate as you like though.  Just use the sketch as your guide and see what you come up with!

As for me, I diecut these stitched stars by Memory Box out of yellow cs and sponged the edges in Dried Marigold Distress.  Then I stamped the stars with a splatter pattern and heat embossed in black and white.  Reminds me of salt and pepper stars!  I mounted them on a background I created using the MFT watercolor stripes stamp, then I also distressed the edges and drew in stitching using my white UniBall pen.  I finished the card off with this very delicate hello diecut by Penny Black and a few Swimming Pool Pearls by Doodlebug.

So there you have it, thank you for stopping by, I hope you will leave me a comment!

  3. Fantastic card, and am so impressed with that 'hello' diecut – that you were able to get it out in one piece and use it so nicely.

  5. Very nice! Love those splattered stars. That hello die cut is way cool. I reminds me of tangled telephone cords (you know, from days gone by).
