Falling Snow by Gina Marie Designs - Big News!!!

Hello again.  It's Monday and gloomy and kinda chilly for South Carolina.  However, I've been spending lots of time in my craft room today, which always makes me happy!

Before I chat about the card, I wanted to share some wonderful news with you!  Gina Marie Designs has asked me to do some design work for them, using their wonderful dies.  I am so thrilled about this for these reasons.  1. I love their dies, so many great designs and so many more on the way.  I've been told there will be 40 new designs coming out very soon!!!  2.  I love to enable all my friends, the prices on these dies are so super affordable, that makes me happy to promote a company that sells great dies at great prices!

So you've probably noticed this amazing Falling Snow die..here it is, just click on the pic and it will take you right to the shop!  This is what I used as my background layer and I just love the look of it!

Holiday Cheer!

Hello, it's been a while since I crafted just for fun.  I've been in a few swaps and so all my crafting time has been devoted to that, which of course is lots of fun too.  I made this card yesterday and rushed to photograph it.  I see it's a bit blurry, ooops!  I have a house full of company arriving this week, so I guess I'm not feeling very focused either, my entire house needs a good cleaning, help!

I have been wanting to play around with this awesome snowflake cover-up die by Lil'Inkers for some time.  You'll need to pay around with the right shim, I used a thick piece of paper in addition to the regular layers and that seemed to work great in my Big Shot.  This die takes patience, as there are zillions of tiny pieces to poke out.  But well worth it if you ask me!

I used MFT bubblegum cardstock and SU Strawberry Slush ink to stamp that most amazing woodgrain background.  That SU woodgrain stamp is by far my fav!  I fussy cut a house from this set and copic colored it and added some glittery snow!  Lastly, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins, which is sort of hard to see in this picture.  In person they are lovely and add just the right amount of sparkle!

If you are in the U.S, have a lovely Thanksgiving, enjoying time with friends and family.  Thanks for stopping in today, I hope you enjoyed my project!

OSAT Blog Hop - Holidays

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.  You should have arrived here from the very talented Diane Squires page, if not, please use the links below to start at the beginning so you don't miss a thing!

This month I'm featuring one of my favorite Unity Stamp Co.'s images called, "Lil' Nick".  Omgosh, he is just precious.  I used the no-line method while Copic coloring, this was my first attempt.  I really love the look!  The stitched circle that I stamped this image on is from a company called, Gina Marie Designs, here's the link to the stitched circles Wholesale Crafting Supplies - Gina Marie Designs  The reason I'm talking about these dies is, number one, they cut fantastic!  So many crafters love stitched dies and there are many great brands out there that I use and love.  But these in particular cut so smoothly and are very affordable.  Check them out if you are in the market for stitched dies of any shape, Gina's got a store full of good stuff!

Up next is my second project...a carry over from last month's rosette pumpkin...I'm still going rosette crazy over here, so ta-dah!  It's a tree!  Ok, I'm not recommending that you do this like I did.  I would suggest you read some instructions first.  It will save you a bunch of headaches.  Even my dog has glitter stuck in her fur, I'm closing the door to my studio now and will work on cleanup another day.  So visit Pinterest and choose the method you like best, you will thank me later when your rosette tree looks pretty, is not lopsided AND, no hot glue mishaps.  All said, this came out pretty good and I'll display it proudly this Christmas. :)

Lila Grey Seed Packet Templates Digis

Hello everyone!  I'm super excited to share a couple of projects with you today.  I photographed them together, as they are both similar in nature.  I used the seed packet templates from Lila Grey to create these one of a kind gift cards.  Lila Grey Seed Packet Templates Yes, it's a card with a little gift of flower seeds attached to the front!

This would make a fun little gift for your favorite gardener.  You could do a gift tag and attach it too a plant, a flower pot stake, or a card as I've done here, and of course you'll come up with some interesting ideas of your own!  I know there are lots of seed savers out there, so you can make up a bunch of them ahead of time.  And because they are digital, you can print them out as large or small as you need.  In the fall when everything is going to seed, you've got the perfect storage solution to keep your seeds dark and dry until spring planting season!

The printed back is perfect for documenting information on the seeds inside your packet.

AND, if you prefer to decorate your own seed packets, Lila Grey also offers a blank template.  These are so easy to score and glue!  Blank Seed Packet Template

Lila Grey has a few more designs in her shop, just follow the link I've posted above.  These are a couple of my faves, Black Eyed Susans and Coneflowers!

I'm entering this project in the MojoMonday Sketch Challenge #420, click on image to play!

Plus, these other fine challenges!!

ADFD Pumpkins and Butterflies

Well, hello and happy Sunday to everyone.  We woke up to a super chilly morning here in South Carolina.  I am not used to that at all, time to get out the wool socks!  In other news, we adopted a puppy yesterday from a rescue and she's just the sweetest thing!  Her spot seems to be under the coffee table.  Awwwwww, so here's your moment of sleepy puppy zen...

Even with all this excitement, I managed to get a card made for a special crafty friends birthday.  I just love how this turned out.  I colored up the ADFD image called Pumpkins and Butterflies ---Click here for info on image.  They have a challenge going on #132 Add Black Lace - Click here to play!!!

I didn't have any black lace in my stash, but I had this awesome lacey die Impression Obsession Border Duo 2 Die, and it sure looks like lace to me.  Other products used, MFT Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Die, SSS Sketchy Banner Greetings, Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Mossy Green sequins and a few lime green pearls by Doodlebug.  Lastly tied a little gold cording by SU on the side.
