Newton's Naptime

Hi all and happy Friday! Today I'm up on the blog over at Newton's Nook Designs.

I've been so into naps lately and this sweet little Newton image, Newton's Naptime really appealed to me, so I had to color him up with my Copics! I die cut the image using the coordinating die set and also cut out the speech bubble and heat embossed the sweet little sentiment on it!

I wanted to use one of the newer stencils for my background and I thought the Meow Stencil looked perfect behind napping Newton, maybe he's dreaming of a fish dinner?

Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge 100!

Hi all, I'm here today with a project celebrating Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #100! The rules for this challenge are, pick your favorite challenge or challenges from the past and play again!

I went back all the way to the 12th challenge which is beach themed! I used two of my favorite summer sets, Aloha Newton and Newtson's Summer Vacation along with Sea Borders for my water and Land borders for my sand hill.

This was the challenge I chose, all you have to do is visit the Inky Paws Challenge page to choose your favs and play along with us!

These are fabulous! The yellow balloons look great on the first card, and the shading on the balloons on the second one is perfection! Plus, the pop of vibrant colours against the black - superb! I am following your blog now :-)

Hello and welcome to the Studio Katia 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop!

We are celebrating with a Blog Hop and a New Release. This Release includes 5 new Clear Stamp Sets and 1 set of Coordinating Dies, 1 new Stand Alone Creative Die, 2 new Stencils and lots of new Embellishments!

I'm so excited to be joining Studio Katia and their Design Team for this special occasion!

I've created two cards using brand new products that are being released today in the Studio Katia store. I've linked them all below for your shopping convenience!

For my first card, I used the Party Balloons Stencil to create a grouping of yellow balloons and then popped Kobi from Kobi Makes A Wish Stamp/Die set up in the forefront! I inked a little floor so Kobi had something to stand on and then stamped that gorgeous sentiment from It's Your Birthday over the balloons!

My second card I started with that b/w polka dot base and layered diecut balloons from the Shaker Balloon Die. I created the ink shadowing with Ranger Distress Inks, using 2 tones on each balloon to give it the rounded look, leaving the center lighter. I added little bows, also cut from the Shaker Balloon Die.

I finished off both cards with the Pastel Rainbow Confetti and Silver Fever Fusion for a little sparkle!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Day 4

Hi all, well it's day 4, the final day of our June reveals at Newton's Nook Designs! You know what that means? All these fun new products will be available in store tomorrow!

So my last project of the week was created using the new Woodland Picnic stamp/die combo. These little critters are some of my favorites in the Newton line!

I decided to create a different sized card. After I colored all the images, I just couldn't split them up. I wanted a big picnic under the sun! My card base started out as 8.5x7 and then scored at the 3.5" mark lengthwise. So your finished card is 8.5x3.5.

I used the hill die from Land Borders and I cut it twice (joining) on an 8.5" piece of light yellow cardstock. I inked a few shades of green working from the bottom up. As for my background, I used the Sunscape stencil and added some clouds from Newton Hangs out and dragonfly and butterfly from Newton's Picnic, both previewed yesterday. Last I stamped the sentiment in the upper corner.

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Day 3

Good morning Newton fans, today is day 3 of the June release at Newton's Nook Designs and we're here with 2 new stamp/die sets to show you today. For my first card I created this scene using Newton's Picnic. This is now one of my top favorite NND images, I just love that little kitty butt poking out of the picnic basket!

So I Copic colored my image, and created my scene on this circular die cut. I also cut out some grass using Land Borders Die Set and glued it onto my circle. I added some light blue ink blending behind my image and foam popped my main image over it. I stamped a few ants on the grass and added a dragonfly and butterfly and a few clouds from Newton Hangs Out.

So moving on to my second card, I've used the new Newton Hangs Out stamp/die set to create this fun little scene! I started with some happy diagonal striped paper and layered on the rounded rectangle from the Frames and Flags Die Set. I colored up my main Newton image and added a little yellow/green ink blending behind it. I also added a dragonfly from the Newton's Picnic set and stamped the sentiment onto the smallest circle from the Frames Squared Die Set

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Day 2

Today is day 2 of the June reveals at Newton's Nook Designs and today we're featuring the new Woof Stencil, Say Woof Stamp Set and the Pawprint Die Set!!!

I decided to create a rainbow background for this card, not only did I want to try the pretty ink blending, but I also wanted to play along with the latest Inky Paws Challenge #99 The theme is rainbow and there's a $20 store credit to be won if you enter a project of your own!

Do you see the little bones inside the shaker?..check out all the cute little trinkets you can cut out using the new Pawprint Die set! I also added a fun sentiment to the card front using the new Say Woof stamp set! I used the Acetate Sheets and the Double Sided Adhesive Foam to create my shaker, then added all the sparkle!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Day 1

Hi all, welcome to day 1 of the June release at Newton's Nook Designs! Today we're featuring a new Meow Stencil, Cat-itude Stamp set and Pawprint Shaker Die!

I started by ombre inking a panel in shades of blue, then I took the new Meow Stencil and went over the whole thing in a darker blue ink. I glued that down on a kraft A2 sized card. Did you know that NND carries packs of acetate sheets and double sided adhesive foam? They're excellent quality and if you enjoy making shakers, I'd suggest picking up a pack or two of each!

So I cut out the shaker frame and a few of the little trinkets that you can add to your shaker elements. Do you see the little fish bones inside the paw? I added some sparkly sequins too and then stamped a sentiment from the new Cat-ittude below with a little cat head!
